Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
We care deeply about reaching people for Christ, discipling people and meeting needs in Dell Rapids and Baltic and other surrounding towns, and all over the world. We support a number of missions efforts, with a special focus on these areas:
We have been engaged in several church planting efforts, including in Baltic, SD and Brandon, SD.
We would love to continue to plant more churches. If you are interested in planting a church, or being a part of a church plant or if you would like to see a church started in your town, we would love to talk with you.
Fort Thompson is 2.5 hours west of us on the Crow Creek Indian Reservation. It is filled with wonderful people, but is also plagued with extreme poverty, violence, substance abuse, sexual abuse, broken families and spiritual confusion.
Our ministry there began through a member of our church Bob Smith. Before Bob began attending RCC, he regularly hauled loads of goods to a local Fort Thompson thrift store. When Bob started attending RCC, we joined him in his efforts, and also began looking for ways to share the gospel, to partner with local ministries, to encourage believers, and to deepen friendships with folks at Fort Thompson.
Since those early days, we have hosted many evangelistic events at Fort Thompson, including grill outs, a fishing derby, Christmas banquets, a chili and fry bread feed, and a kids’ carnival, often partnering with other area churches. In the process, we’ve been able to meet needs and we’ve developed some great friendships.
