“We’ve Been Brought Near” – Ephesians 2:11-21
3 Points Related to Ephesians 2:11-21:
1) Ephesians 2:11-21 (and much of the NT) is built around the relationship between God, the Jews, and the Gentiles.
2) Jesus and the first century apostles and the prophets are the foundation of our faith and of the church.
3) One of the major metaphors for the church is the household of God.
Application / Reflection / Prayer:
1) Remember when you put your faith in Christ, take time to dwell on and to thank God for the incredible gift of salvation that you received.
2) Repent of your sins, put your faith in Christ, receive God’s Holy Spirit, become a part of God’s people, and if you are already a believer, pray for your lost friends and family to receive Christ. Pray for evangelistic boldness and for opportunities to share the gospel.
3) Devote yourself again to the reading of, study of, memorization of and obedience to the Bible.
4) Consider how you might more fully participate in River Community Church family.
5) Seek to be filled to the max with the Holy Spirit. Pay attention to the Holy Spirit. Follow and obey the Holy Spirit.
